"It’s the Final Lockdooown" ♪

Being locked down doesn’t mean slowing down. Remember you’ve got access to lot of online resources on the Knowledge Hub’s website. Basics are of course, research articles & market studies to help you work on your homework and thesis. You can check our methodology section to become a bibliographic citation rock star! Sage, Emerald, Science Direct, Web of Science are databases providing English academic journals about social science, culture, and science. Find out answers to questions you’ve probably never asked yourself!

Career resources: looking for a job, finding an internship, networking, getting prepared for a job interview or writing a resume or a cover letter are the kind of things you can look into while off school.

Online press: your accesses to Financial Times & New York Times still work (spoiler alert: the newpapers are covering Covid-19 right now). Don’t forget to read international newspapers and professional magazines through Europresse - which has opened its accesses for students during the lockdown- and Factiva.

2/ Useful entertrainment

On the verge to download The Sims 4 and assume your regression? We can get that. But our professional responsibility makes us want to let you know that there’s a few more productive ways to pass time.

• Thanks to Assimil, you can improve your French skills and discover what “J’ai mangé mon chat au 12ème jour du confinement” means. Or your German skills, or your Japanese skills. There are 30 languages available.
• Europresse & Factiva : we know we’ve already mentioned them above, but they also give you access to gardening or football newspapers, so they deserve to be here too.
• PODCASTS! You can feel you’re part of a conversation (but don’t try to answer).
• MOOCs: you’ve got plenty of time to learn about History of Art, computer code or monitoring, isn’t it wonderful?
• Online exhibitions: several museums open their virtual doors. Learn about rock art or architecture, way more stylish than Netflix.

 

3/ Wellness at home

• Reading (obviously): copyright protection lasts for the life of the author plus an additional 70 years: you can find public domain books here, here & here; and binge-read every classical novel you’ve never had time to read before!
• Cinema: discover the Criterion Collection and MUBI, VOD platforms that give access to loads of movies, from classical westerns to experimental weirdnesses. For free movies, Youtube hosts thousands of public domain movies.
• Audencia's web series will help you remember the golden age when you used to go to school. Seems like a lifetime ago…
• Working out: no leg press nor climbing wall at home? WOD Litobox puts forwards multiple body weight workouts.
